First off I love all the hard work that's gone into xbmc great work everyone. Now I know I can play DVD ISO files what I want to know is the a way to copy the files as mkv or avi? For example a tv show has 4-6 episodes on a disc. What I want to do is save each episode individually is this possible? Maybe it is and all I'm missing is a pluggin if not then it would be cool to be able to select an episode and save it ( kind of like you can in ice films but more effectively ).

No way of doing it inside the media center. And discussions on how are prohibited.

Check out this plugin: http://code.google.com/p/swiss-army-knife/

links to this are allowed, but no discussions about it, right?

Discussing ripping is fine... we have tons of discussions and even how-tos about ripping. Ripping movie discs is legal in some countries, gray area in some, and not allowed in others. XBMC's own policies discourage discussion about piracy, but that doesn't include ripping content that people legally own. It's up to end-users to follow their local laws and whatnot.
