Nas - FTP streaming
#1
Hi everyone,

Im new with the XBMC, i have an little issue,
i have a NAS Qnap that works as an FTP where i have some vacation movies etc that i want to share with my family. i setup everything as i know, when i add a network drive in /XBMC/Videos files.. everything works just fine, i also can stream.. i use the puclic WAN adress to connect and i dont have any problems. i installed the same thing at my family's pc and add the network drive, i connect's fine and find the movies/pictures etc.. but when i want to see the movies it just comes with an error... and i dont understand why,

i tryed to open diff. ports to see if that was the problem.. is there anything that i missed here? what could be the problem.

sorry for my poor English Blush

Welcome to the forum.

Can you post the log (of your family's pc) on http://pastebin.com/ with debug on?
And give us that link in a post?

From your uploaded log, it appears you have debug logging disabled:
Code:
00:02:48 T:4440  NOTICE: Disabled debug logging due to GUI setting. Level 0.
Please enable debugging logging so more diagnostic information is captured. Re-attempt to access your FTP server, and when it fails, exit XBMC, upload the new log to pastebin, and post the new URL link here.

If you don't already know, you can enable debug logging thusly: System > Settings > System > Debugging > click on the "Enable debug logging" radio button (should be illuminated blue).

This is to be done on your XBMC system, not your FTP server.
