Can you not expand flexraid as you go like unraid? I don't see a reason to have an unraid server. I can fill up a 3TB hard drive in no time at all.

Ok, I think I am good to go for the hardware. Thanks for the help! Will have to drag it over to a friends house to copy his archive. 3TB goes quick... lol.

Hardware finally ordered. Will build it up next week. I hope Windows 7 enterprise will work for this.

I built the server. Windows enterprise was a no no... lol. I have an old version of Win Ultimate though. I will say that the fans are too loud in it. You for sure need to turn off the 90 and replace the 60s with some quiet fans. My next project is to figure out how to pipe this to my bedroom.
