Linux Latest Nightly crashes
#1
I download the nightly from the Nathan Rennie Waldock repo. So every few seconds XBMC crashes and returns to the home screen. I don't really want to go to back to the 11.0 release because of audio issues and rebuilding my db of watched items. Is this something specific to me or are other people having this issue as well?

I've built my own before using Fernet Menta. If I should do that, what build is the best/most stable?

You know, there's a whole thread for nightly build issues. You've posted no logs, nor anything else that would be helpful in resolving your issues.

You know, you could point to that thread and be a helpful chap.

Also, to the OP, I am having same issues with nightly build, so I guess it is something to be sorted out.

Because I have looked at my logs and there is nothing in them. Plus I was more wondering if it's me or if it's the nightly. And thanks for the heads up on the thread. I'll try to find it again.

You'll get absolutely no help from the devs if logs aren't posted along with build number and complete hardware specs. Just an FYI.

System specs are in my sig.
Build is the FernetMenta Main Branch. But the same happens with the latest from NathanRennie-Waldock repo.

I am at work right now. But I logged in via SSH and renamed .xbmc to .xbmcold. I copied over my database and keymap files and did a reboot. It has not crashed yet so I guess that was the problem. I'll change skins once I get home and see what happens. I had been running Metropolis.

Well everything seems to be running smoothly. The only issue I noticed is that I can't install any addons either by zip or download. From what I saw this is a known issue?
