With a video playlist (pointing to an NFS directory mounted through fstab) on the main menu and a recent movies VPL widget on top, the widget will occasionally disappear. After pressing up to get to the disappeared widget, the system becomes unresponsive, although fanart backgrounds will still cycle fine.

Same here, but it happens for TV show VPL

my system doesnt become unresponsive if i hit up...its just that the cursor becomes stuck and i have to use my shortcut key for shutdown to restart XBMC. The only way to get it back is to edit the main menu and re-add it or sometimes by opening and closing the edit it works. I dont know if this log contains any info that can help

navigation can have bugs when widgets are empty. just move your mouse a bit when cursor is stuck or use some key on remote which changes the skin area.

ok, but is there a fix for the widget just disappearing all of a sudden? Like right now its doesnt appear anymore when i go to the main menu

the issue never happens with movies, i dont know if its because i use recent movies instead of recent movies VLP? are you using the recent episode or recent episodes VLP?

I just decided to restart XBMC and now there is no widget Latest episodes VLP on my TV Show (VLP) playlist. Movies showed up just fine but im using just Latest movies. Could it be that the widget is loading up before the VLP is actually available and/or loaded?
