I'm running Eden 11.0/XBMCbuntu on an Acer Revo 1600, streaming everything across the network from my WinXP server with all video/movie/TV/music.
Out of the blue, today, it won't resume playing a video. I was watching a captured auto race, and needed to reboot the Win box, so I stopped the video and returned to the menu. After the Win box restarted, I went to resume watching the video (Video A), and when I hit play, I get nothing. No spinning circle, no "resume from xx:xx / start from the beginning" dialogue, nothing.
I telnetted in & rebooted, same situation. I turned debugging on, tried restarting the video, same thing. This time, the OSD showing CPU usage stopped updating as well.
I ran apt-get update/upgrade (mostly because I hadn't in quite a while), that didn't make a difference.
I started a different video (Video B), fast forwarded about 10 min into it then hit stop. I selected it again from the menu, and up popped the dialogue to start from the bookmark or from the beginning. I selected the book mark and it fired right up. After that, I selected Video A and it gave me the dialogue, then started from the bookmark. I immediately stopped it, then selected it again, and it hung again.
Here's the log from the initial testing where Video A would not play at all: http://pastebin.com/mdmj3Qgk
Here's the log from the 2nd test with Video B & Video A: http://pastebin.com/G9vd3VeN
Note that in both instances, the machine continued to function, as I'm able to FTP in to get the logs, and I can open a telnet session to reboot the box. However, I cannot Ctrl-alt-F1 to open a new session on the box, and, for all intents and purposes, it seems to be hung from the TV perspective.
