When I go to watch a youtube trailer I get the error message: Couldn't extract video url.
Im using xbmc 10.1

Can you get to this YouTube from a browser? Do any YouTube videos play..?

I'm a bit suspicious of your older XBMC install and the plugin which has had many iterations beyond into Eden now, and it's possible either the link is dead or more likely your version of the YouTube plugin doesn't jive with Dharma. There is a thread for the YouTube plugin you might want to look over to see if they offer any remedy. My personal advice would be to just update everything, but that might not be possible given hardware issues. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=33585
