My cable company (SHAW) is going all digital and is requiring everyone to get their digital box and rent them for $2 per month. Now supposibly you get the first rental free but have to pay for all others say not thanks I already have enough remotes and devices. So Im planning of cancelling my cable and getting an HTPC and OTA for local news.

Since I have lots of old skool game consoles (SNES, N64, Jaguar, Saturn, 3DO, PS1, Saturn and Dreamcast) I'd figure running game emulatos would free up lots of space and tangled wires and a pissed off wife when all system are all over the livng room floor. Also once Steam comes to Linux it'll be in the

Wanted the 65W verion A-8 but there were none locally and didn't want to wait. Read conflictng info on heat generate by the CPU in a mATX case so will see. I didn't go for a SSD as I'm not worried about boot times. For now I'll be using a few exteranal Seagate Expanson 1TB for the storage that Ii already own.

I plan or running Linux Mint for the OS or another diistro but been using Mint for 6+ years so sticking with what I know.

Will post some after photos once I put together the system.
