The fixed libshairport is also in the unstable ppa. he just didn't update it

Maybe it's a strange idea, but since I compile xbmc from GIT I expected the latest version when I compiled libshairport from GIT. I even check if I had the latest GIT version. But anyway, thanks for your help. Much appreciated!

The libshairport from git is fine too (lib/libshairport) - but you need to ensure that this version really gets used.

But as said - your issue sounds different to what was discussed in this thread.
