Hi,
I'll build an htpc with 16 HDD, and I'd like to pool them with drivepool or unRaid.
But I'm affraid all my disks will spin up when updating the libray!
I think about some ways to keep the disks spin down:
- Folder/files cache: seems possible in unraid
- Develop a watchdog that update xbmc library when a file is added/deleted: But there are no services to update XBMC library when it's not running!
- Use an exeternal library software (my movies), but I don't know if XBMC will scan only extern library or continue to scan local folders?
