Weird issue with xbmc on reboot
#1
I set up a task schedule in my new build to reboot my pc every day a 8:28am.

For some reason after this schedule task reboot, xbmc goes haywire for a number of minutes, and i have no idea why, this is such a weird issue, i get script errors in skin widgets, and library auto update.

As far as i can tell its never present otherwise.

I can reboot my pc right now and xbmc will launch and work fine.

Why is the task schedule reboot causing issues?

I posted a log here, not sure if it will tell you anything, its very strange this is happening. I would really appreciate if someone has any idea. And again if i manually reboot my pc, xbmc will start up fine.

Happened again today, any idea why the scheduled reboot is causing this, any developers out there?

Maybe you can have your scheduled task run a script that first exits your XBMC session gracefully before doing a system reboot?

Thanks for your reply.

I do currently use the scheduler which runs the QUIT command, 10 minutes before the reboot takes place. When i tested it did work.

Its so strange, am going to test right now again, verify the QUIT command is working, and its rebooting properly.

I just dont get why the script errors, any other time i reboot xbmc myself i dont get the script errors.

Turns out it was a clock syncing issue.

Sends xbmc haywire if your pc clock has issues syncing the time,
