Something to be considered for 13.

What this would allow is to play a movie, plugin a headset/bluetooth speaker/headset/usb speaker/optical/coax or what not and the audio will switch from speakers to the new device automatically without having to stop the video first. Idem ditto when the external device is unplugged.

If this is integrated, a registration for device change callback should be done when xbmc starts.
No more need for checking if the device changed when you stop and start the movie again (like it is done now).

well its not that easy to switch devices during playback - you should forget about that (just imagine you are passing through dts to your amp - headset connects and it would get the dts passthrough then because passthrough is enabled - you would get static noise). But it would allow to queue the audio device change for when audioengine is idle
