I am very new to XBMC and although I have been searching for this info I have not found it.
Is there a more "Listing" view available with XBMC (with multiple columns etc) or is it always the pretty view?. I am coming from MediaMonkey and like the 'basic' detail view a lot of the time.

Thoughts?

I have no idea what you're talking about... Most of the default views are in list form.

XBMC is designed for a "ten-foot" user experience, so the UI needs to be readable from across the room. A multi-column listing of file names would not be amenable to that user experience.
