Solved Add ripped cd's to library
#1
A GUI option to directly add ripped CD's to the library. See this topic for inspiration. There is work already being done.

No interest in this nice feature?

I'm interested, but I just don't know how to do any of that :)

I suppose a script/add-on could do something like this if XBMC gives some kind of feedback/trigger when ripping is done.

So this is not something for mainline XBMC but it should become an Addon? Then a trigger is indeed needed for an Addon to scan the new folder into the library.

The problem is that http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/13400 has never been submitted as a PR as I understand. It was left and closed.

Not exactly. The code is also on github: https://github.com/mad-max/xbmc/commit/2...268bbe30c5
but

Either way need someone to take that forward, as is I dont mind running a scan, but if I didnt have to go though that extra step sure would be nice.

Maybe someone can take that forward, but unfortunately optical media gets little interest generally., I dont code so Im out.

Yep Wink

Just a note: In order to not introduce a new setting, a ripped cd will automatically be scanned, when the rip path is inside one of your music sources, and that music source has been scanned into the library
