Right now choosing an add-on through XBMC is not very friendly from a user-facing viewpoint. There is little ability to know what the status of an addon is via the addon browser.
I'd like to suggest that "Last updated" be added to the summary view, and, if possible, dates in the change log. This would help immensely with identifying the best updated, supported, addons and would probably cut down (a bit) on repetitive forum questions. (One can hope). Unsupported addons that are not actually marked broken would slowly weed themselves out by a process of attrition which is a good thing for UX IMO.
As a bit of a sidetrack, it would also be awesome if the rating system was functional in a rich way, but maybe just some kind of "# installs" counter. I know this isn't the play store with a billion apps to choose from so maybe it's not necessary.
