IDE for XBMC Add-on development
#1
Hey Gang,

I am very new to XBMC and was blown away with the capabilities of the platform. I am a developer but totally new to python. I am trying to learn writing addons/plugins and am not able to find which IDE to use for writing code. Can you guys help me by pointing to the best IDE and/or to any tutorials?

Thanks guys!

A texteditor ... notepad++ (windows) or textwrangler (osx) will do it.

Thanks Memphiz. Yes I understand Notepad++ should do it, but was wondering if there are better options. Any IDE which auto generates addon.xml, etc.
