I'm having the graphics issue but mainly don't like the audio associated problem where I can't select HDMI in XBMC because it causes excessive studder and slow motion video.

i5 Haswell chip using onboard graphics / audio.

I would like to know would installing a dedicated graphics card like this:

(Sapphire Radeon HD 6570 2GB DDR3), solve my problems. This card looks to work inside my small form factor case.

I am very dissapointed with my choice of the new haslem CPU so far. I choose this so I didn't have to use a dedicated gpu, but find myself forced to install a gtx 640 in order to get proper playback.

You'll get the video issues you describe if you don't have WASAPI selected in the passthrough audio properties in XBMC. This happened to me until I disabled all other audio devices in Windows and selected that. I also had to select the Audio output device to DIRECTSOUND in order to get 2 channel, mp3 audio working. So far, everything is good.

I'm using a release of Gotham as well.
