myth backend and mysql on different hosts
#1
There seems to be an arbitrary limitation in the cmyth PVR client in that it assumes the mythtv backend and mysql server is the same host. At least on the config page it's only possible to enter the mythtv server.

Is there any workaround where I can set up cmyth to recognize a mysql server which is not the same as the mythtv server?

If not, are there any plans to fix the code so it will work in this scenario?

This setting has been added some time ago, but I forgot to mention it in the wiki.
