Hello, when I upgraded from xbmc 11 to 12 I have a big problem.
I use Mountain Lion and Frodo 12.2.
The video with Mp3 audio commpression is not encoded by a 7.1 amp.
For the files with DTS and Dolby sorraund are ok but the file with compression mp3 are bad. Infact I set output hdmi with 7.1 I don't listen nothing and with hdmi with 2.1 I listen ONLY 1 speaker of my 7.1 system. It's a tragedy. Plese help me.

Try telling XBMC to use Optical/Coax with a 2.0 speaker config and enable the Dolby Digital (AC3) and DTS receiver options. You may also need to change the speaker configuration in Audio MIDI Setup to Stereo.
