An excellent feature would be a XBMC webserver plugin, so that through their mobile client on my WIFI network;
- guests at my party can scroll the current playlist on my XBMC htpc
- change the order of items on the playlist by voting
- as an option in the webserver plugin: add extra items to the playlist (items originating from either library or spotify?)
The clients should not be able to stop a currently playing item, to delete items from the playlist. The party shall not stop unless I say so ;-)
I have been looking for such a feature for a long time, especially the mobile clients part is hard to find. Existing examples are Itunes DJ (although it has been removed from iTunes) and TuneTug.
Would such a function be possible? I have been thinking about trying to write such a function myself, but I would not know if it is possible to change the order of an existing Music Queue without deleting and recreating it.
