Hello,

i have bought a new tv, but this one gives great picture but doesn't have audio passthrough. my audio set doesn't have HDMI in only spdif.

so i'm thinking about replacing my rasp for some kind of sillend cheap box that has spdif out, hdmi out and can play full HD 3d content.
what is the best choice for this.

i preverd stuff that is availebel in the netherlands Smile becaus i life there.

This is only for running XBMC, i have a computer where all the movies and music are situated on.

Acer Revo R3700 - you'll probably need to look for second hand.

Or one of these http://www.aliexpress.com/item/X-26-2G-R...69668.html with an external USB S/PDIF card.

Yeah it is a bit messier having a separate usb box.

Turtlebeach mini USB does the trick I believe.

No because you would need to use alsa audio which xbmc on rpi can't do.

Revo 3700 will do SBS 3D. Not full 3D. I has one.

I bought one of these for the same problem:
http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Premium-Aud...o+splitter

Looks pretty similar to the one you bought.

Works great! Though, I needed to enable a config.txt setting on the raspi to get it working: hdmi_force_edid_audio=1
