It's basically a set top box with a switch on it, says it runs off Linux.

That's list, you can get them cheaper, they sell for about $300~ bulk or through a VAR

Functionally, wondering if you could get it operational and running.

I know in Asia these are used in tens of thousands of digital signage scenarios

Even if it would work for XBMC (doubtful) it would be a gigantic waste of money for even $300.

Who would ever spend $300+ on a 100Mb router in hopes that it could also run XBMC?

Give me a $50 gigabit router and a NUC for less total money.

Even if there was some reason to do this, there is too little info on whether this would have the bare minimum for xbmc to run. Ie 3d accel for gui. Ie open accesss to video playback hatdware.
