Hi there
Today - my XBMC freezed while playing music. I made a Hard Reset, an now, all the settings are gone.
Even the graphic resolution was reset to 1024 x 768.
When i start xbmc - it's like after a standard installation..
Is there a way, to bring back all the settings? And maybe also the data within the DB.
Thanks a lot - i'm very mad about it.

Check your
userdata folder (wiki). That's where all the settings files are, or should be.

I got it more or less running again... (found a backup and could copy back..)
But now, it hangs, while changing e.g. poster in a video...
Do you think - best is to do a uninstall and start from scratch?
I'm still not sure, what is causing the crashes.... will do some further investigations...

Now that it's at least starting, can you get a
debug log (wiki)? Sounds like maybe a corrupt DB file, and XBMC will say something like "malformed database" or "malformed SQL something something" in the log if it is.
