Hello!

I was wondering if you guys could be kind enough and advise me on the purchase of a nettop.

The one I was looking very closely is the i5 gigabyte brix: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product...id=4603#sp

I would get 16gb of ram for it and a 256msata ssd.

I would use it only as a download / media station (utorrent, high bitrate mkv's, blu ray movies,...)

Is this overkill? If it is, which one would you recommend?

Cost wise I would preffer: the less I give out the better.

That's complete overkill!! An i5 and 16Gb for XBMC is ridiculous just go down the Atom route and bung in some extra ram and you'll be fine.

Hell, 2GB of RAM is sufficient. Even with 2GB, my XBMC is not even using close to maximum.
