Just installed xbmc, went off without a hitch. However, questions abound. If this is not the right place to ask these questions, please direct me and I'll move along. I AM NOT a programmer, just a 52-year-old professional with intermediate computer abilities.

What's a "lower submenu"? How do I find it?
How do I stream content from my PC?
Where can I purchase a video cable? What do the ends look like? (I may have a few lying around)

It depend the location depending the skin
The sub menu is almost always below the menu
When you are in home screen and you are let see settings , will be a sub menu with other links like settings info , file manager etc.

Go to video then select add source and browse for the location of your media files

I don't understand what do you mean with media cable
Did you mean a hdmi cable? If that's the case search on ebay hdmi cable

Looks like this whole media center deal is waayyyy over my head. I'll just try and live with network/cable TV and delete this xbmc. Thanks anyway.

Actually is not that hard you just need to follow the wiki and you will fond way easy
