First Android HTPC - Advice Needed
#1
Morning Peeps,

I am an experienced Computer Consultant but pretty new to XBMC and HTPC. I want to purchase a small media box for mainly using apps and xbmc and have been looking at the boxes running Android as I think this will give me the ease and functionality of Android Apps for my family, whilst giving me a good platform to run XBMC on for myself.

My budget is around £70 - £100

After a little of my own investigation I have looked at the

I was hoping someone good give me some recommendations, or advise me if I am going in the wrong direction?

I just bought an X7 and so far so good but current XBMC does not support hardware acceleration and I'm waiting for XBMC 13 (Gotham) but it's a good box to tinker with and cheap!

Thanks very much for your reply and your help.
Are you referring to the Minix Neo X7?
Where did you get yours from?

I know this is outside your stated price range, but the Nexus 7 is awesome. I love the feel and size of it, and it runs XBMC pretty well.
