Hi there,

I'm considering xbmcbuntu for my next HTPC. My HTPC will serve multiple purposes, so not just to server up XBMC to my TV. It will serve 4/5 functions:

1) XBMC front-end for my TV
2) NFS NAS (for time machine backups)
3) Private cloud storage
4) Serve a handful of other small applications (tvheadend being one of them)
5) possibly using Steam

Can xbmcbuntu handle these needs or would a more complete O/S be more appropriate?

As a note: I'd prefer to have the lightest weight O/S possible, stripped of everything possible, and I can install what is needed to achieve my goals. I'm just not sure if there is an upper limit on flexibility within xbmcbuntu.

xbmcbuntu is based on ubuntu, so you can install and do the same things with it.
