Constant Buffering
#1
This is my exact problem.

I view a channel for a for about 2 minutes and then every 3-5 minutes, I get is constant buffering.
Very annoying to watch any type of tv.

My setup:

gigabit network

OpenElec on intel Nuc D34010WYK (running from live USB)

ServerWMC is running on a Dual quad core XEON's

Skimming through the log there seems to be different problems, its hard to say exactly what the cause is. In general it looks like either the system is having trouble spooling the ts file to disk or the tuner output is slow. Sometimes the output is so slow the video is not determined and the channel fails. I assume you still have these problems even if you run xbmc on the server machine?

As an experiment to help find the problem source you could try going to the debug tab in swmc and turn on (temporarily) 'Remux the playback of all wtv files'. After you turn this on, restart xbmc and then try to play a pre-recorded wtv file and see if you get the same buffering problems.

Seems to not be buffering as much.

The pre-recorded file plays fine

Yeah I don't see many issues now either, did you change something else on your system?

Since you have remux wtv files on, the experiment is to try watching a stored wtv file and see if you see it buffering. That will say if it is a problem with the remux or your tuner. Don't forget to turn off remux all wtv once you are done testing.
