met with 2 errors when trying to update XBMC through Nito
#1
Hello to all, Smile

I am hoping to get some help with updating XBMC through NitoTv...although it may not
be the correct place to ask this, I hope I don't cause a fuss or offend anyone.
When trying to update all in the install software tab I get these 2 errors:
E: Type 'rsh' is not known on line 1 in source list/etc/apt/sources.listsaurik.list
E: The list of sources could not be read.

Same errors when also trying to update NitoTv to the latest version under the settings tab.
My software is 5.0.2(4250)
My nitoTv version is 0.8.5 AppleTv2,1
June 20th, 2012
I'm not sure there is a newer version or update of my nitoTv version
or even if this version is still being supported because I will get a popup of
Essential update available usually but no nitoTv upgrade since 2012.
I have not ssh into the device to initialize the update manually because I always updated through
NitoTv because of the quickness and convenience, but I can go the ssh route also to update if needed.
My question, is there anyone having similar issue and how to fix,
or a way to issue a command through ssh into device to fix errors. Thanks...BP

Updated to Gotham myself last night and had the same error. The simple fix for this error was to remove the offending file via ssh, after which the update ran fine for me.

Code:
$ rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/saurik.list

Epic, I've had this issue for ages. Great fix , now updated to Kodi. Cheers!
