Win Intel NUC - No Audio only in XBMC
#1
I'm pretty close to loosing my mind. I've been troubleshooting for a week and seem to going in circles. Please somebody help me..

I've decided to switch my HTPC from mediaportal to XBMC mainly for netflix but also a few other reasons. I installed the most recent release (13.1 Gotham) on my Intel NUC (D34010WYK). The computer is running Windows 7 64-bit with all the most recent drivers installed from the intel download site.

The computer is hooked up via HDMI to my Samsung HDTV. All other Windows programs output sound as expected.

When I install XBMC and open it for the first time everything seems great but as soon as I click something the volume bar appears at the top right, slowly drops and then the mute/no sound icon appears.

I figured my settings need to be tweaked.. After trying every possible combination 4 or 5 times and mirroring settings from a bunch of other threads here about issues similar to mine I still have no sound.

For a while i thought my TV was the issue but tonight I disabled the HDMI audio device and tested using the headphone jack, still no dice.

Here is a log file with the HDMI disabled:

Here is one with it enabled:

Any help would be very much appreciated, I really want this to work..

Those aren't debug logs however I think I spot the problem, something is being detected as a joystick, so if you can go across to Settings - System - Input Devices and disable Joystick support then try maximising volume again.
