Yep! I have searched a bit here and there. Most of the posts I have found are old. In previous versions of XBMC, I was able to rip CD's to my library with flac, wav, mp3, etc. Now I only have encoders for AAC and for WMA. I can click on the button to add more and it is blank.
Am I missing a repo or do I need to edit somewhere to get my other encoder options back?
Any help would be awesome

audio encoders (except those you list which are handled by the internal ffmpeg) were moved to addons. there are not put in any repos yet, and i guess some of the packages miss them. it will be resolved before final i'm sure.

Ill presume there are limitations on the current python addon repos which probably dont support binary type addons, I imagine it would be a nightmare because of all the different types of binary support is not same across platforms and os's, tbh cant even begin to imagine the nightmare to implement that.
Having said that and presuming that this assumption is half right, how long would that take? And if so is there any work -towards that?

@universal: yes there is/was work towards making binary addons available via addon manager. The only real blocker is getting a python based linux package installer working with our embedded python interpreter.

Installed them. But it installed them into my old XBMC addons in usr/share. Tried to copy the folder over to the Kodi folder addons and they showed up in the list and with options but they won't rip. I get a folder with mp3 or flac and 0 bytes and no progress bar when I insert the disc. Tried ripping using the WMA that is included with Kodi and it ripped, got progress bar and folder with tracks. What's my next step
