Android Mount media via sftp with rsa_public key from unrooted Amazon Fire TV
#1
Hello,

I have a new Amazon Fire TV, which is not rooted (I think the current european version cannot be rooted yet).
After installing XBMC (13.2), I was able to use a sftp:// share from a remote server.

I'd like to disable password access at the server, but I can't see any options, how I can set the path for the publc rsa key.

I can share files between the box an my PC. I was able to load a hidden .ssh folder.

So my question:

How can I specify a path to a private / public key to secure my connection?

Regards,
Christian

I don't think this is possible in the current sftp implementation of xbmc/kodi.

Would it be possible to create a feature request?

I think static filenames within the .ssh folder in the userdata would be fine.

I'd like to second this request
Kodi doesn't seem to work with NFS at all and I can't get scrapers to function properly with UPnP.
I'm hoping Both of those items get fixed, but if you're going to say you support SSH/SFTP support you really need RSA public/private key support.
I noticed it worked automatically on my linux PC which is already set up with an authorized_keys.
