Upon first startup, these audio options arent visible. After a reboot, they show up. This has been an ongoing issue for the last 3 or 4 updates. Currently using 14.0 Beta2 (Nov 10). Not really a big deal, but if anyone knows of a fix please post. Thanks!

Make sure your AVR is enabled when you start your PC. If not, the handshake fails. Depending on the hw you are running, there are hacks available to "nail that handshake" by hard coding an EDID.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

OK so basically, make sure the receiver is powered on before turning the PC on? I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the help.

You have 3 options
1) AVR is on Before Booting PC that has XBMC/Kodi
2) You restart only XBMC/Kodi after your AVR is ON
3) You load the EDID for your AVR permanently (largely depends on your OS and video card)
