KodiBuntu - Can't login to kodi
#1
When i boot up my mediacenter it used to login straight into kodi. now it does not. it gives me a username and password prompt. when i try to login with the username and password that i created when i installed kodiubuntu the screen flashes black once and i get the login screen again.

Any idea what might be wrong?

I added the debug level in advanced setting

<advancedsettings>
<loglevel>2</loglevel> <!-- Change this to "1" to hide the on-screen debug log text -->
<debug>
<extralogging>true</extralogging>
<setextraloglevel>32,64,128,256,512,1024,2048,4096,8192,16384,32768,65536</setextraloglevel>
<showloginfo>true</showloginfo>
</debug>
</advancedsettings>

and did

root@mediaserver:/home/mustafas/.kodi/temp# tail -f kodi.log

nothing changes.

root@mediaserver:/home/mustafas/.kodi/temp# tail -f kodi.log

here is the debug log. like i said there is nothing happening in the log. i don't think it gets as far as starting kodi.

http://pastebin.com/aQ2U5vj2

here is my advanced settings file: http://pastebin.com/ax5bMjHa

advanced setting is already in place. before reboot. airmouse removed.

it does not get as far as starting kodi anymore. it seems that this log is from the last time kodi actually worked.

if i login to lubuntu i can start kodi from there without problems. the problem is booting kodibuntu directly into kodi. so i don't think it's crashing.

It seems like lightdm does not start kodi-standalone at all.

kodi.desktop : http://pastebin.com/djcYAXVk
.xsession-errors : http://pastebin.com/6WCYuccJ

when i login into lubuntu and kodi-standalone from the terminal it starts kodi

I'm also having an issue logging in to kodi with my kodibuntu install. I just upgraded from Helix but now I am booting directly into lubuntu. When I log out, I only have the options for "lubuntu" or "lubuntu netbook", no "kodi" option like I had in the past.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

dwothers, I have the same issue (just tryed 'lubuntu netbook' options once, had to fix after with apt-get update / dist-upgrade, then booting to 'lubuntu netbook' without any promts, after logout - no 'kodi' present to log in).. Thinking of reinstalling an never playing with 'netbook' option again :-)

Hi All,

I'm having same issue. This is my second time same issue happened. Last time to solve the issue i just re-install the KODI. But i need to reconfigure a lot of things - firewall,iptables, dansguardian, apache etc and i don't want to do same thing again ..~sigh

What could be the possible issue causing my kodi logged out ?

Can someone help me how to login back the kodi in Login page. I tried all possible password , but nothing works.

Really appreciate your help

p/s : Im using Linux Kodibuntu.
