Aeon Nox next step after Confluence?
#1
I am a newbie who has just setup my music and video library in Kodi on Chromebox, currently on Kodi 14.0 (Helix) RC3.

Right now considering to take a first step to change skin from Confluence. My main dislike of Confluence is no nice display of music library (movie library with fanart is nice).

Is Aeon Nox a good first choice if I want a better-looking music library while retaining the good looks of movie library and overall functionality?

What are the nice add-ons to care about for music library? After watching youtube, 2 I have in mind are cdart manager and artist slideshow. Aeon Nox support these?

How much space does it need?

Does it support arial-based font or any font that can display chinese text? I use Arial-based text in Confluence to display chinese song titles and artists.

Aeon Nox 5 is compatible with Helix, its about 30ish MB
Have a look here at some of the screenshots (credited to BigNoid): Aeon Nox 5
There are a few other scripts listed in the OP that you will need that should auto install with the skin.

As far as display of unicode font, I think it doesn't have Arial included though.

I wouldn't rate AN5's music features very highly. IMO the skin is geared more toward video. Perhaps one of the modded versions might be better.

You can try Mimic, it includes an Arial font set, supports cdART Manager and Artwork Downloader, and has now playing info displayed throughout the skin (plus other user requested music features) .

I prefer the looks of video and music library in Aeon Nox though. It says Mimic borrows from both of Aeon Nox and ReFocus, but the screenshots look more like ReFocus, unless these can be changed.

The CD cover music library and tin box movie library in Aeon Nox looks cool.

The link you posted for Aeon Nox may not be completely up to date. You may find that some things are different depending on which current version you install.
