[Mod] Aeon Nox Hebrew - CatboxNeue
#1
Information
To reflect the aesthetic beauty of Aeon Nox 5 complemented by the main menu Bebas Neue font, I have designed and created this typeface which retains the look and feel of skin.

This is now included in the latest Github build of Aeon Nox.
If you would like to keep the skin in English, but add the ability to display Hebrew then see below for the fix.

Hi,

Can you share the font ?
I prefer the skin to be in English but original font does not support Hebrew so I changed it to another font that is not so nice.
If the font you used is supporting both Hebrew and English I would appropriate if you can send it to me.

That works thanks ,but the English characters on the main menu don't look right-it looks like they are too big and need to scroll.

I'll have a look into it over the weekend. Could you clarify exactly what text you are referring to please, and what sized resolution you're using. Thanks.

Resolution is 1920x1080 but main menu text scroll on any resolution.

Thanks dannyau. I cannot add the Latin characters of BebasNeue to this font due to the licensing restrictions. I asked the author of the font several weeks ago, but haven't gotten a written permission response for the modification of his font to include the Hebrew glyphs.

A fix for this is to download the following files.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1m1kid...sp=sharing
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1m1kid...sp=sharing

Once downloaded, you need to place fonts.xml in the 1080i folder, and place the file strings.po in Language > English folder.
As long as you have English selected in the language settings, then this will display the usual font on the main menu if you select "Unicode" in Appearance > Fonts

Works perfectly for me.

This is fantastic! I was about to desert my favorite skin (Aeon Nox) in favor of Miimic just to be able to read the Hebrew when I needed it, but you've made it possible for me to have my cake and eat it too.
Thanks a million!
PS: I have discovered that when I update or change the skin, I lose the unicode option for the fonts, and lose the Hebrew font, even when I revert to Aeon Nox ;-( Seems that some more work is needed to make this robust and change- proof. ;-(
