How can I change the favourites.xml path?
#1
I'd have to guess this has been asked before, however, I cannot seem to find it. I'd like to change where Kodi looks for it's favourites.xml file. Ideally this would be something I could configure via the user interface. I'd prefer to keep this file, personally, in a dropbox folder so that it might be shared wherever. Anyone?

Kodi keeps this file here C:\Users\your_name\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\favourites.xml, it's not intended to be an externally edited file, but you can certainly move/delete etc within Kodi. It primarily references internal library and smart playlist files in a kind of code. e.g. ( <favourite name="Stanley Kubrick">ActivateWindow(10025,"special://profile/playlists/video/Stanley Kubrik.xsp",return)</favourite>) Is a favourite for Stanley Kubrik films, but doesn't elude to what or how many etc... it's just a script operator.

I think you're looking for add-on called Trakit http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Trakt which twins your interests with others through a nice web site interface.

That's not what I mean. I mean I'd like to share this xxl file with other installations as a share. This would require being able to tell Kodi where to look for it.
