I wrote the code originally and built it myself to run on my Linux setup. I then submitted the code for inclusion into the PVR addons source repository where it was accepted (after some changes). However, that doesn't mean it will be available in all distributions - it's up to the packagers of those distributions to ensure it's built and included in their deployments.

Try NotFilmon instead and see if it works for you ....For me Filmon works though but I Like NotFilmon better....we all have choices and for some some add-ons work better then others Smile Check Java version though if it is compitable with your version of XBMC/Kodi Smile

I've run into the same issue, but on Linux. I get: ERROR: ADDON: Could not locate pvr.filmon.so in the logs. There are no instructions anywhere I can see for installing this thing. I just copied the pvr.filmon folder into my .kodi/addons folder. I'm assuming by this error that a file isn't in that folder by default, and possibly needs to be compiled (*shudders*). So my method wasn't correct. But what is the proper method? Does someone have a normal (not git) repository somewhere that I can just point Kodi to?

I could, of course, use the old FilmOn video addons, but in my not so humble opinion, if you're going to watch a live channel, it really needs to be in a pvr addon so that it will mesh seamlessly with my live channels from my antenna and IPTV simple addon. I hate having to go to the TV section of Kodi, to this addon, then to that addon, etc. to watch channels that really should be all in one place, like normal TV. All live stream addons should either just be pvr addons, or have both versions available. That's, again, my opinion.

I hope I'm not coming across too harsh or judgemental of anyone. Just trying to say that I'm so happy that you're doing this addon, and that it's sorely needed! Thanks for your work! I hope this is up and running on my system very soon!

I got the same error with the built in film on, so I went with the NotFilmOn that works perfectly
