Hi

I have 3 kodi clients in my house. 1 on a windows 7 pc (with shared folders), 1 on my Amazon fire tv and one on my android phone.

I have set up my pc to share and I can discover the files on an iPhone and my android phone through the IP address. yet I can't for the life of me set up an smb on kodi ?

I can set up movies via upnp but then no art work for the films or tv shows are shown.

Any help please?

Apologies if this is in the wrong area I weren't sure if I were to put it in windows or android, as I was having the issue on both android based devices I thought this would be appropriate. I have searched but I haven't got anywhere !

looks like I must of missed a step, got it all working now.

for anyone with problems, follow the above guide and it should get it working for you.
