Upgrade Windows XBMC to Kodi with MySQL on NAS.
#1
Hello,

My setup:
- Windows Vista (yeah i know) with XBMC 13.2 and advancedsettings.xml pointing to next bullet.
- NAS with my XBMC database.

All's working well, my lastplayed gets updated etc.

After checking:
1. Kodi v14 (Helix) FAQ
2. How do I upgrade to v14?
3. Migration from XBMC to Kodi
4. MySQL/Upgrading

i prepared my MySQL server on my NAS as described that the XBMC MySQL user (temporarily) has all rights (4.) on de db server, downloaded Kodi for Windows and started install/upgrade.
It requests MySQL root and xbmc user on MySQL, no errors during install.
On my Windows system i have Kodi, but my NAS database is still the old database for audio (46) and video (78). No copy of the database is made as described that gets updated to Kodi versions.
So i de-installed Kodi, re-installed XBMC 13.2 again and all was up-and-running again.

Q:
How to get this going and get my remote MySQL NAS database up-to-Kodi versions?

Regards.

I believe Kodi uses Kodi login in mysql instead of the xbmc user account; (I could be wrong though). I created a kodi login and mine seems to be working. I have two android devices using xbmc login and have their own databases while my kodi devices use new login and new databases on the same nas mysql.
