Running on Kodi/openelec 5.0.4
More often than not if I leave my RaspPi turned on then the first recorded TV show I try to view it won't play. The little "Working..." spinning indicator never shows up and it just sits there. I can navigate back and forth on menus. All other functions work. But PVR playback just gets ignored. Then if I reboot the Pi everything works fine again.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes, you don't have any access right on the recorded-path.

I have the same symptom with OE 5.0.5. It only does that occasionally, choosing another recording often works. Sometimes I have to back out and try it again and then it suddenly works. I don't see that as an access rights problem since it works 99% of the time.

Does it happen on random recordings or just on recordings that have just finished recording?

I would say that the vast majority of the time that I've seen it, it is when selecting the most recently recorded episode of a series. I'm not sure if that happens to be the most recent recording though.
