After installing Kodi (fire tv) and not really knowing exactly what I wanted to use it for I decided I've thing it might be great for is controlling my mp3 collection. I currently use Spotify (found a spotify add-on) and hope to create a server that hosts my music and is also connected to my tv so I'd like it to run Kodi. I'm also interested in other devices, probably android based, that can also run Kodi and control the sever (wirelessly or wired). Ultimately, I'd like to have basically have a touchscreen jukebox. That would mean both streaming and a file server with music on it.

Ideas? Am I going down a bad path here?
