RPi as bridge: Possible or not?
#1
Hi,

Is there a way to use RPi as "bridge", to control my AVR with a browser (not for music/video, I use the HDMI for that)?

Architecture:
Wifi from the modem/router to a USB wifi adapter connected to the Pi (150Mbps), Xcross LAN cable from the Pi to the AVR.
In the same LAN, I want to control the AVR from a desktop: Desktop > Modem > Pi > AVR.

I don't think it's possible but would like to be sure.

Thanks

Edit:
I forgot to say, I run Openelec (testbuild)
Config, video/audio player:
3T HDD <USB> Odroid N2+ / CoreElec <HDMI> Denon AVR-2313 <HDMI> LG TV 55UF860V
                                          <nfs wired> Linksys WRT32X router <USB> 4T HDD

As outlined, it is possible - but a lot depends on the OS and so on.
There are raspberrypi.org projects which cover this sort of thing - have a look.
