i've been running 5.0.8 on rpi 2 for a while and noticed audio was out of sync with the movie. As much as 2 seconds or more. i tried the normal setting changes like passthrough and and changing the clock preference.

any ideas on how to fix this? even live tv does it. Rpi is wired to 100mb download internet.

Are you playing MPEG2 without an MPEG2 licence? That would give the behaviour you are describing.

(software decode of HD MPEG2 will be too slow to keep up).

the sync issues are happening on hd rips and also live tv.
