Hi all,
I'm really inexperienced with running XBMC/kodi on linux, so please excuse anything i get wrong.
About 2 years ago I followed online post and built HTPC and set it up with Debian Wheezy and XBMC.
I've recently upgraded the mother board, CPU and memory to support some other work related server task, but in doing do has introduced a problem with video play back. It's not choppy as such, but horizontal segments of the picture are out of alignment. looks a bit light a course artefact or 1/3 from the bottom of the picture. That's the first problem.
The next issue is that I need to update the XMBC app, I get messages on the smartphone app to say XMBC is not supported likewise when it loads up on the server.
I'm no debian/linux expert and i can't find a simple upgrade instruction. if anyone has any suggestions on either my problems i'd be very grateful.
