Afternoon,

I am having an issue installing KodiBuntu 14.
It goes most of the way through the installation, just after language pack install, it then freezes and drops out to say 'plymouthd: could not start boot splash: Can not access a needed shared library'.
I have searched but haven't seen a resolution for this.

It does boot using the live CD into Kodi fine so am at a bit of a loss as to why this is happening.

Any help would be grateful!

Edit: Machine is an old-ish Acer Aspire L100

No as the PC won't boot from USB. I also tried installing the previous XBMCBuntu version and that seemed to fail too, although no error was given it just appeared to finish then wouldn't boot. Guess it's something unique with this PC.

Excellent, glad to hear that. Sure seems like sometimes things have a mind of their own, perseverance usually pays off.
