Good news for Kodi's Debian Linux users!

Multimedia Maintainers team, have finally decided to switch from Libav
to FFmpeg as provider for the libav* multimedia libraries. We'll try

Now I wonder if this might mean the end of the schism and eventually everyone will just go back to deving ffmpeg.

Highly doubt it, Libav is the de facto upstream to FFmpeg downstream now.
