[Solved] Stereoscopic 3D Issue - Kodi 15
#1
Hi guys

I'm surprised that this was working very well at some point and now is not ...

I have 3 3D movies. Kodi info says, for each:
- H.264
- Bluray disc
- Bluray 3D

only for the last one the stereoscopy 3d mode turns on, the glasses icon appear in the OSD and thus I can see subtitles, everything perfect. Not for the other 2.

But the point is that at some point it worked for the 3 movies, and I was so happy to have the whole feature working...

Sorry I can not be more specific.I don't remember at which point in time it worked, but I saw it!

I reverted back to kodi 15 rc2, and same results....

any clue?

thanks

You need to either name the files correctly (e.g. .3D.SBS. in filename). See: http://kodi.wiki/view/3D#Video_filenames_flags
Or you need to bring up video OSD when playing the file and mark the video as 3D.

I have been playing with system settings, basically change settings and back their original value, just to ... "fix them".. now 2 of the 3 movies work.

I'll try this file naming stuff, thank you very much.

I don't know how to mark the video as 3D while playing, I don't see such option in the OSD... I mean yes there are 2 options in the osd about 3d but I see no effect when movie is not identified as 3d

For clarification, once you mark manually a movie as 3d, you have to stop-start it for the setting to be taken into account.
