Win some movies won't add to library; can't get .nfo files to work
#1
There has to be a thread for this, but "nfo" search didn't work. I just can't get some of my movies to add to my library. I put the .nfo xml files in the folders with the movies, using same name as the movie (not clear to me whether or not to include .mkv before .nfo, tried both ways). Also tried plain movie.nfo since only one movie per folder. I got the JustUseTheFileName scraper and used it, no luck. I tried Universal Scraper as well as another one. Here's one of my .nfo files:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<movie>
<title>Brainy Baby</title>
<genre>Drama</genre>
<id>-1</id> (tried it with and without this)
</movie>

Worked on this 8 hours or so, learned how to check the log but that didn't help too much, just could not figure it out, sure am frustrated. Thanks ahead of time for pointing me to the answer...

You have to choose "local nfo only" scrapper.
Here, have a look

Well thanks Naomi. Actually, the real problem was that my .nfo files were actually ".nfo.txt" files. I was not seeing the file extensions, in Windows File Explorer, so I could not easily see that the files has .txt on the end. Once I got rid of .txt extension, so the files were really .nfo files, they worked.
