Hi guys, I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere, I did try and search for FLAC and CHOPPY etc.
I have an older ION (1st generation) PC that I'm using for Kodi which handles most things well. However, today I downloaded some 1080p Bluray Rips with FLAC Lossless 5.1 as the Audio Stream. When I play it, audio/video get quickly out of sync then becomes choppy. Looking at the info while I'm playing shows that all cores of the CPU are running barely under 100%.
From what I understand, FLAC Lossless can't be passed directly to my Stereo Receiver, so must be transcoded. Is my device just too old to handle this, or should hardware acceleration be kicking in?
I'm running OpenElec 5.0.7, so my Kodi version is 14.2.
